I. Love. The Ren Faire. I attended my first one in first grade and have been doing my best to go every year since. It’s just magic. The level of commitment to embodying the Renaissance is unparalleled (I’m guessing because tbh, all I know about the Renaissance is what I’ve experienced at the Ren Faire) It’s an incredibly immersive and silly day, full of turkey legs, jousting, and saying “ye old…” a lot.

I took part in the Winter 10x10 style challenge from Jan 21st-Jan30th. 10 days, 10 pieces, 10 different outfits using those pieces. Shoes and jackets count, but other accessories (bags, shoes, scarves, hats etc) don't.

We drove from LA to San Francisco the Thursday after Thanksgiving. Joey's band- Family Hahas was set to play a show at San Francisco State. We packed up all the gear and left as soon as my Thursday morning class at The Wall ended. 5ish hours later, we pulled up to the school.

Every year around my birthday, my mom comes out to visit. The last couple years, it's lined up with my sisters fall break, so they were able to make it whole family affair. Instead of them always coming to LA though, we try to go somewhere else in California. This year, we did Lake Tahoe and Yosemite.
